Caitlin Bartlemay is a seasoned spirits professional with extensive experience in distillation, brand education, and guided tastings. Through her work with Hood River Distillers - one of the Pacific Northwest’s most respected and long-standing distilling houses - she brings a wealth of technical knowledge paired with an approachable, engaging teaching style. Her passion lies in helping people understand not just what they’re tasting, but why it tastes that way.

This month we will be meeting up in Ballard at Percy’s & Co. for apothecary inspired cocktails! Ballard was once home to more bars than any town west of the Mississippi. Local legend has it that Ballard founders had to build a church for every new bar in order to fight against the “scourge.” In 1898, Percy Sankey opened The Ballard Bar, and ran it as such until prohibition, at which time many bars closed their front doors, only to reopen the door in back. The Ballard Bar became Percy’s Men’s Furnishing in front, and simply opened its back door, like so many others.

Join us for an evening of cocktails and stories this Repeal Day, at the ideal spot to toast to the history of spirits.
